Workshops

Overview: The Overview of the OPN Method introduces the Method, and focuses on the evidenced-based research that supports using the Method with patients and their families. The Overview also describes how the OPN Method is used with patients and an example of a typical interaction using the OPN Method is presented. (1-2 hours).

Half-day Course: The Half-day course builds on the foundation of the Overview. Along with the Overview's evidenced-based research presentation and example of a typical OPN Method interaction, participants will actively experience the different stages of the OPN Method through role play, videotaped interviews and group discussion. Participants are asked to summarize what they think they achieved at the end of the course. (3-4 hours).

Workshops for Parts 1-3:
Part 1: Treatment Planning for Rehabilitation-Identifying Concerns, Setting Goals & Developing Plans
Part 2: Treatment Planning for Rehabilitation-Evaluating Outcomes and Treatment Plan
Part 3: Treatment Planning for Rehabilitation-Integration in the Clinical Setting
Each course for Part 1, 2 and 3 is a full day. It is recommended that if you are interested in all three courses that each course be spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart in order to practice using the OPN Method with patients.

Six-Week Workshop: The Six-Week Workshop explores all aspects of the OPN Method and its application to patients, business and leadership issues. Participants will have the opportunity to receive instant feedback on their course work by the instructors. Each week will focus on different sections of the OPN Method which participants will practice with their patients or professional colleagues. It is a combination of Part 1 and Part 2. (12 hours total, spaced at 2 hours per week.) For local companies/schools only.

Post-Course Feedback: The Post-Course Feedback is a twenty-hour retainer for companies or schools that want to receive feedback from the instructors on their participants' post-course work with patients.

Consultation Services: We provide this option for companies who feel their employees will need a refresher course using the OPN Method with patients. The start and end date for such consultations are negotiable. Register
