Nursing

Many articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals studying the effects patient-centered communication in nursing. Patient-centered communication in nursing has shown to improve patient satisfaction, adherence to treatment plans and the patient's overall health.

The OPN Method and patient-centered communication also help nurses with identifying factors critical to care planning, such as problems that require goals and objectives. The OPN Method can assist nurses by helping them identify factors critical to completion of Minimum Data Set 3.0 (MDS) and is useful in developing and revising restorative nursing programs.
